an unnecessarily detailed normal friday my alarm goes off at 8am, and i turn it off in probably enough seconds to annoy caleb01 my roommate as i go back to sleep without even thinking. eventually, though, its 9:30 and i should really get up, so i climb02 in room 251, we all have Next House Approved^TM lofts down my bed, throw on the clothes i wore last night to see endgame03 i wont give any spoilers. its both happy and sad, and it was definitely really good but not amazing. , pack my laptop, and head out of next house in light rain.04 i was fortunate to acquire both a waterproof jacket and a waterproof backpack this year, so rain is something i no longer dread im definitely going to be a little late to class05 i have been trying my hardest to never come late to class again in order to not disappoint aikawa-sensei. the story goes like: id been late to class a couple times, and one day we were writing practice sentences using the grammar we had just learned. i decided to link my sentences into a story about how i was late to class and its bad. well, aikawa-sensei was going around and reading peoples sentences, and she read mine, smiled, then looked at me with a serious face and said simply, ??????? i swear, that simple sentence hits harder than a pound of brick. dont ever discipline your kids with force, just convey disappointment like aikawa-sensei can. at this rate06 i left next house at 9:50, it takes about 15 minutes to get to building 14, class starts at 10:05, plus theres a vocab quiz. , but i might as well try to get there sooner than later. cory07 my roommate hasnt even passed08 cory takes an electric scooter to class me yet, so im a little worried for him, but he should be fine. i get to class fine, at exactly 10:05, saying a hurried nod and ? ?????????09 its polite to say good morning. ? before taking a seat for Japanese 6. cory gets here fine, but kevin10 kevin is a frosh in 2E - my hall - and is a precious boy. in fact, my hall is quite weeb and a significant number of people have taken at least one japanese class at MIT. and also there are like, four freshmen in japanese 6 right now, which is, well, huh. is nowhere to be seen. we learned about vending machines in japan, and that they rank second in number of installed vending machines in the world.11 behind the US, though the textbook is dated they serve both cold and hot drinks, they talk in ???12 the most popular dialect of japanese besides the tokyo dialect , they make ramen, they sell tickets for ramen, they use Machine Learning to recognize your face and recommend drinks. its fascinatingly terrifying.13 i think back to the reddit post i read last night that quipped that tokyo was the future that the 90s promised me. ive been inconsistent with going to 6.85714 cryptography, security recitations but i decide that today was a good day, so i head on over to the green building and head up three flights of stairs to the next floor.15 the story goes like this: I.M. Pei sought to create the tallest building in cambridge. at the time, there was a height code that stated that buildings could be no taller than 18 stories. I.M. Pei had the galaxy brain idea to simply build the Green Building on stilts so that the first story was the equivalent of three stories high, thus creating a 20-story 18-story building. theres nobody in the seats of 54-10016 a lecture hall today, but the TAs are there. Is there recitation today? i ask. Nope, instead of recitation were holding a sort-of office hours if you have any questions or need any help on the final project. cool, nice. i say thanks and walk out. then pause, and walk back in. Do you know what the grade cutoffs are looking like? I dont know, to be honest. So lets say you did average on the quiz, and youre doing pretty alright for the psets. Where would I be? Well Id say youd be in the A/B range. It would depend on your final project. cool, nice. i say thanks and walk out. its 11:30 am and ive decided to stop at lobby 7 to open up my laptop for a bit. i see a tour group forming and hear a familiar voice. one of my friends is the tour group leader.17 though now i havent got the time, freshman year summer was when i gave a lot of campus tours. the formats also changed due to new campus additions everywhere and i couldnt even sub for someone now i smile and realize that probably nobody sitting in this institutized18 the café in lobby 7 used to be peets coffee, and they had the mocha javiva, which is an iced blended coffee and mocha drink that in my opinion was to die for. but now its been replaced with bosworths café and the iced blended drink is no more. well, dunkin is the way to go now i guess. café are actual MIT students, and that theyre all holding MIT walking tour flyers and taking pictures. there is someone to my right on a close-to-back-cover page of genki 1,19 genki 1 is the textbook used by japanese 1 and 2. japanese 1 covers the first six chapters of genki 1 and japanese 2 covers the last six chapters. japanese 1 is offered in the fall and IAP, japanese 2 is offered in the spring. though, so i know theyre the same as me. i realize that i need to read several things before 2pm today, first and foremost being another design project20 the final group project where were trying to design a system that is better than the current 6.033 grading and submission system, which is honestly pretty all over the place and could use some work, though its not as bad as you would think teams preliminary report21 the first milestone assignment for the design project for the peer review.22 one of the many things we have to do because this class is a CI-M, i.e. tons of writing i decide to do the reading in building 12.23 mit.nano before i begin, shardul24 a lovely frosh from toons walks up to me and holds my hand. there are no places to sit, shardul said. yeah. i dislike this. yeah. i am going to go somewhere else now. go do that. we stare into each others eyes for maybe five seconds, then shardul nods and smiles and walks away. 25 i love shardul. i head to 6.033 in building 66. peer review was fine, i said maybe like three or four sentences for the entire actual thing, there were lots of people in the discussion group so it wasnt like i was pressured to say anything.26 nisha probably said the most out of anyone. and just like that, my days over. what happens next is up to me. i browse reddit27 unfortunately the main source of procrastination, though i dont regret it for a second and find out that they teased a new league of legends champion, and her name is yuumi and shes a cute adorable cat. i immediately send joanna28 my so a link and send messages along the lines of SHE HAS AN ABILITY CALLED ZOOMIES and she also has a voice line that goes something like shields, heals, cuddles! and i really vibe with that. its 3pm. i decide to take the walk back home to next house, seeing as im kind of tired and feel like taking a nap. its still raining lightly, but less so than before. theres a taco truck parked outside of kresge that i couldnt buy from even if i wanted.29 unforunately, my bank account is all zeroes. in fact, one could say that this very blog post is partially motivated by my desire to not subsist on dining food on a daily basis. kales watching something on his laptop. im going to take my clothes out of the dryer from yesterday and take a nap. i end up staying in next house for the rest of the day. the rain started to get worse and by 8pm, lightning crackles in the sky. i put my laundry on the rug under my bed and contemplate folding it but decide30 like a degenerate to not fold it and leave that for tomorrow. tonight we watch letterkenny  with the boys and play 1000 blank white cards31 our hall liked to play mao on a near-constant basis once upon a time. this game was a good alternative. for the first time. its a good example of a next-house-y friday night.32 along with all the other things that weekend nights at MIT usually imply before i know it, its 2am and my head kind of hurts so i climb into bed and within ten seconds, im out like a log. my roommate back to text ? Christianity Developing Faith - 991 Words

Christianity Historical Facts Where How Does This Faith Perspective Originate? Christianity began within the Jewish faith. In 63 B.C.E., the Roman Empire made its way to Palestine. The Romans stated they would stay out of the Jewish affairs, as long as they paid their taxes and aspired peace. However, many individuals, the Zealots, desired to overthrow the Romans. The common people believed a new king would save them from the Roman tyranny. In 6 CE, Judas, the Galilean led a revolt, but the Romans ended quickly, along with 2,000 Zealots lives. Leaders Like Martin Luther King, Jr. - 1149 Words

Leaders like Martin Luther King, Jr., Mahatma Gandhi, Winston Churchill and Hitler have one thing in common; the word charisma is usually attached to them when people describe their characteristics as a leader. Charisma defined by the online Merriam-Webster Dictionary is â€Å"a personal magic of leadership arousing special popular loyalty or enthusiasm for a public figure (as a political leader); a special magnetic charm or appeal† (Merriam-Webster, 2014). The Oxford Dictionary states that charisma is â€Å"Compelling attractiveness or charm that can inspire devotion in others† (Oxford University Press, 2014). Max Weber (known as the father of sociology) first introduced the concept of charisma with the relationship to power and authority. He described charisma as a personality trait that sets her/him apart from the masses. The charismatic individual is deemed to have supernatural, superhuman, or to possess exceptional power that is not readily accessible to a regular person (Weber, 1947). Weber further believed that charisma was the result of a social crisis and that these leaders have extraordinary appeal because they â€Å"†¦emerge with the radical vision that provides the solution to the crisis† (Barbuto, 1997, p. 689). For example, Martin Luther King, Jr. arose in the civil rights movement as a beacon of change, equality and eventually for peace. Trifles And A Doll House - 969 Words

Women in the early nineteen hundreds were not thought of as important as a man. The role of the woman was to stay home and perform household duties such as, caring for the children and the home. The role of the man was to work and speak for the family. The dramas Trifles and A Doll House, show how two women will commit a crime at all cost and somehow contrast with each other. Trifle is a word which is used to describe something with little importance or value. According to Suzy Clarkson Holstein, â€Å"SUSAN CLASPELL’S ‘TRIFLES’ is a deceptive play: deceptive because, like its title, it seems simple, almost inconsequential. Yet the play represents a profound conflict between two models of perception and behavior† (Holstein 282). In the play Trifles, Mrs. Wright is in the situation of being accused of murdering her husband. Mrs. Hale and Mrs. Peters come upon a dead bird during the investigation and realize Mrs. Wright may be guilty. In the play Mrs. Hale sa ys, â€Å"I wonder how it would seem never to have had any children around. No, Wright wouldn’t like the bird- a thing that sang. She used to sing. He killed that too† (124). Mrs. Hale decides to hide the bird to protect Mrs. Wright, realizing the reason why she may have killed him. Mrs. Hale may have been motivated to commit the crime of hiding evidence because of the way the men belittled the women. In the play the Sheriff says, â€Å"They wonder if she was going to quilt it or just knot it† (73). The Revolution Of China During The 20th Century - 2048 Words

Mao Zedong, the leader of China during the third quarter of the 20th century, organized two movements in his country in an attempt to develop China s economy through the establishment of communism. Through The Great Leap Forward, Mao planned to change the layout of the Chinese economy by forcing collectivism on his country and implementing other ways to speed up production. Since this movement failed, he then implemented The Cultural Revolution. It consisted of the same goals but was carried out through violence and was also an utter failure. These two movements failed because of the lack of organization with which they were performed. This lack of organization manifested itself in a number of different ways. The government did not care about their people, the reforms themselves were not planned out in detail, the government did not think about the spontaneity of young people, they did not consider the effect violence would have on their country, they did not realize the decline in e ducation that would result from the participation of students in the revolution, they did not plan well economically, they did not examine the negative effects of communes, and they did not foresee the large number of deaths that would plague their country. Provisions Depicted In The Statute Samples †MyAssignmenthelp.com

Question: Discuss about the Provisions Depicted In The Statute. Answer: Issue: The issue in this case study is regarding the fact that whether Jill can suspend the contract according to the provisions depicted in the statute. Rule: According to Section 112 of the Housing Grants and Regeneration Act 1996 (HGCRA) the contractor possesses the right to suspend the work if the payment is due on the part of the payee i.e. the payee has not completed the payment[1]. In this regard, clause 4.14 of JCT SBC/Q 2011 can be referred which acts parallel to the (HGCRA) which permits the contractor to suspend the performance of his liability, if the due payment is not made by the employer before or on the completion of the final date under the contract[2]. However, if the employer failed in his part to make the final payment and do not provide remedy to the incident after the Contractor served a seven day notice of intention to suspend the work, then in such cases, the provisions of notice allows the Contractor to take necessary steps to solve the dispute. In Mayhaven Healthcare Ltd v Bothma [2009] EWHC 2634 (TCC)[3], it was observed that the work was suspended by Bothma who was a contractor, due to non-payment on the part of the employer. Part 8 of the Local Democracy, Economic Development and Construction Act 2009 (LDEDC) amended the (HGCRA) 1996 to reinforce rights for the contractors in order to suspend contract for non-payment. Application: It can be observed that the contract was amended by Jack with an agreement with Jill. As mentioned in the contract, a 30 day noticed has to be provided by the contractor before suspending the work. Therefore it can be advised to Jill that she should act according to the provisions of the contract in order to avoid breach of contract. However, if Jill intends to serve 7 days notice to Jack and enter into dispute, then in such cases the courts will be at the authority to decide that how Jill can recover her interests based on the provisions of JCT SBC/Q 2011, HGCRA and LDEDC. Conclusion: Jill can suspend the contract according to the provisions of the abovementioned Acts. Bibliography: El-adaway, Islam, et al. National Safety And Quality Health Service Standards †Free Samples

Question: Discuss about the National Safety And Quality Health Service Standards. Answer: The National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards were developed by the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health care in order to provide protection for the public and improve the quality of the health care services. There are 10 health standards (Lyle-Edrosolo, Waxman, 2016). including prevention and control of healthcare associated infections, medication safety which will be discussed in this paper. The patient, Mrs. Julia Brown is a 61-year-old woman who had a lap cholecystectomy. She requires administration of medication, monitoring of her wound, assessment of vital signs and general evaluation. This paper will focus on how 2 of the quality standards would be applied in a home environment compared to a hospital environment for Mrs. Julia. Therefore, the paper focuses on standard 3, preventing and controlling healthcare associated infections and on standard 4, medication safety and their relevance to the case study. Preventing and controlling healthcare associated infections is the third standard. The aim of this standard is to ensure patients do not get any healthcare related infections and also managing infections effectively in case they occur(Bain, Bucknall, Weir-Phyland, Metcalf, Ingram, Nie, 2013). In both the hospital and home setting, the nurse will have to sanitize their hands first before coming into direct contact with Mrs. Julia or indirectly through touching any equipment or items that will be used by her. In both environments, the surrounding areas should be clean and the medical devices being used should be sterilized before they are used on the patient. In a hospital setting, the proximity to other patients and sharing of some of the hospital facilities among patients has to be managed. However, in a home setting, the family members who come into contact with Mrs. Julia should sanitize their hands first before seeing her and they should not be having any medical condition that c an spread to the patient. Standard four is medication safety, which ensures that there are reduced medication incidents and improved safety in medicine use (Bain, Bucknall, Weir-Phyland, Metcalf, Ingran Nie, 2013). The standard also ensures safe prescription, dispensation, and administration of appropriate medicines to informed patients, this is critical in ensuring patient safety. In this case, both the home setting and the hospital setting, medication has to be safely administered and the effects of the medications monitored (Lyle-Edrosolo Waxman, 2016). The medication history of the patients is also made available during the time of clinical care or home care (Twigg, Duffield, Evans, 2013). In a home setting, the nurse will require to have the complete list of the patients medicine and ensure that its all available at Mrs., Julias home. The nurse will have to talk to the family about the patients medication, the storage, prescription and possible risks that may occur. Compared to a hospital, the nurse w ill have to ensure the medication is stored safely in the patients house and also consider the conditions required for storage(Bain, Bucknall, Weir-Phyland, Metcalf, Ingran Nie, 2013). In a home environment, the nurse will be able to monitor closely Mrs. Julia for any side effects that may occur because of the medication, this is important to ensure complete clinical recovery of the patient. On the other hand, in the hospital setting, the nurse usually looks after several patients at once and they may miss an effect the prescribed medication has on the patient (Excellence, 2013). In a home environment, the nurse can involve other family members in monitoring the patients response to medication and ensuring adherence to the prescription, which may not be the case in the hospital environment (Twigg, Duffield Evans, 2013). In conclusion, the paper has focused on two quality standards of health that can be applied in the home environment in comparison to those quality standards applicable in the hospital environment for Mrs. Julia. The quality standards are based on the controlling and prevention of infections in order to ensure safety in medication, these health standards are very useful in ensuring the safety of the patient. It also guides the clinical workforce on how to safely carry out their duties while taking care of the patients. Preventing and controlling healthcare associated infections and medication safety are standards that can be applied when handling a patient in a hospital and home setting. Even though their implementation might be different in the two environments, they still aim at ensuring the patient's safety and proper health care services. Argumentative Essay Topics - High School Students Problems

Argumentative Essay Topics - High School Students' ProblemsOne of the best things you can do for yourself is to tackle argumentative essay topics that are high school students' problems. That is not to say that these topics are harder than college or graduate level essays, but rather that the high school student has a different set of challenges in mind. Many of them are simply trying to understand how to live their lives by studying and defending a concept or idea. The only problem with this type of topic is that because you are writing in the elementary level essays you cannot assume too much. Often what you will find is that students will start arguing back with information that they may not have had before. Instead of being a problem you have turned into a challenge which is exactly what you wanted to get across in the first place. If you do not want to be the ones arguing back with information, then there are a couple ways you can get your points across and still get high school s tudents on your side. By not being argumentative with them, you will not need to correct them so often. What this does is keep them focused on the problem you are solving. The other thing that you will notice is that if you find that you are having trouble correcting them or helping them with their argument, that they are not the easiest people to help. If this is the case with you, the best way to help them will be to find out what made them act the way they did in the first place. If you find that they were made to feel like an outsider at school, that may have something to do with why they believe the way they do.For argumentative essay topics that are high school students' problems you may need to speak to the teacher and see if there is anything she can do to help. There may be some type of program that you can use to help with your writing to help you get the point across to your students better. At least as a solution to your dilemma, this might be the best thing you can do fo r yourself.Even though some of them may seem like they are easy to write about, you want to make sure that they are really important for you to think about. If you find that they are just going to go away and never be solved, you will not get the proper education that you needed. You need to recognize the value of education and help your students get the education that they need.If you do not spend the time to do these things, then you are losing out on the opportunity to learn from argumentative essay topics that are high school students' problems. Do not leave this opportunity sitting right in front of you.
